Ding 60!

April 30, 2008

Pawtopsy is now level 60, after an extremely fast level 59 in Hellfire Peninsula last night.  Dinging 60 brought back a lot of nostalgia for me – I remember when I’d be relieved right now because I was finally DONE leveling.  Now there are 10 more levels, and I’m really excited because my highest character [...]

IRL Ding!

April 29, 2008

Today is my birfday, which means I am a level 24 human commoner now.  =)  Yay!  Luke took me to Coachella for the weekend and it was an awesome time.  Although it was 100 degrees outside and almost unbearable, our swank hotel made up for it
Here is my Coachella mini-review:
Highlights:

Level 54!

April 23, 2008

Haven’t had too much time to play in the last couple of days, but over the weekend I definitely got a lot of levels in.  Pawtopsy is now level 54, and almost 55!  We’ve had a lot of fun lately.  Did a Zul’Farrak run last week, tanked in Maraudon, ran a full run of Sunken [...]

My blog is back!

April 17, 2008

Well, I was hacked two days ago. My resistance to upgrade my Wordpress proved to be stupid, and I got burned for it.
Thanks to valuable instructions from Raph (who was hacked the same way) and meticulous assistance from Jeff Freeman, I’m back up and running. There’s some things I’m still working out, but for [...]

Want some MMO with that research?

April 14, 2008

Strat guides, spoiler sites, item databases, quest walkthroughs, leveling guides, spell lists.
I bet you’ve used at least three of these while playing the MMO you’re playing right now, haven’t you? A comment from my boyfriend over the weekend about how he’s not a “research type of player” got me thinking about just how much [...]

Do you game with sound?

April 10, 2008

A thread over on Fires of Heaven contained the following quotes related to WoW:
I havn’t played WOW with sound on in a long long time. I forget what it all sounds like.
I have to turn the game sound down to nothing – I have no idea what the music in any of the raid zones [...]

The WoW forums are so helpful…

April 8, 2008

So I post a legitimate thread asking for druid pvp UI ideas on Blizzard’s official forums. (There was my first mistake…)
My post:
Hey guys,
First of all, I’m a 49 “twink” druid in progress, mostly doing WSG and AB. I’m looking at doing an overhaul of my UI to completely make the most of my skill. [...]

Daily journaling and turning off XP.

April 7, 2008

My Pawtopsy is now level 49. My goal is to hang out for awhile and do lots of battlegrounds in the 40-49 queue until my friends catch up to me. (They’re a variety of levels throughout the 30s and 40s). I have such a blast running flags in WSG and stealthing around [...]

Raiding and Interfaces

April 4, 2008

Cameron at Random Battle brought up this topic, which was one that we tossed around at dinner last Saturday night at IMGDC over fish and chips and scotch eggs. Cameron himself uses 5 add-ons specifically for raiding in World of Warcraft. Kendricke uses 3-4 for Everquest 2. He asks the question:“Why in [...]
