Growing into something great!

by Cuppycake on November 17, 2009

In my previous post, I solicited for some guest bloggers in the realm of gaming and LGBT issues, feminism, women’s rights, and other forms of awareness.  There has been an OVERWHELMING response, to the extent that I have joined up with two other fantastic ladies in the creation of a brand new blog that will be debuting soon.

I don’t want to spill the beans on the whole thing yet, but we have several notable bloggers, game industry employees, and intelligent people from a massive variety of cultural and societal backgrounds coming together to present gaming commentary in a new light.  I think it will be something different than anything being done right now, and we already have over 10 regular authors in addition to our 3 editors.

If being a part of something huge sounds interesting to you, we’re looking for people to comment on video games, social media, and online worlds from the following angles:

  • Gay/Lesbian
  • Bisexual
  • Transgender
  • Class privilege (lower class, upper class)
  • Racism
  • Ableism and accessibility for disabled people.
  • Feminism
  • Gender Roles and Stereotypes
  • Intersectionality
  • any other marginalized group..

Contact me at cuppycake at cuppycake dot org if this is something that intrigues you and you’re interested in creating a “safe space” environment for gaming news and opinion.
