WoW.com has chosen LGBT guild (or rather, family of guilds), “The Stonewall Family” to be November’s Guild of the Month. Woohoo! The Stonewall Family are a “sister guild” to my WoW guild “Taint” which are also on Proudmoore (the unofficial LGBT server). They also consist of multiple guilds because they grew too big for Blizzard’s maximum guild cap. 700 members. How awesome is that? So much love for the Proudmoore LGBT guilds!
Our guild participates in publicity and outreach for causes that are important to the LGBT community on a regular basis (National Coming Out Day, World Aids Day) — and we proudly co-sponsor the annual realm-wide Proudmoore Pride Parade with our horde-side sister guild Taint.
Our meta-guild, The Stonewall Family, originally started as a single guild – La Familia de Stonewall. It was founded in late 2007 by a handful of friends who had tried other gay/lesbian/bi/transgender and LGBT-friendly raiding guilds… but always felt they were somewhat lost in the shuffle, and never really felt a sense of “family”. They wanted to start a guild where the social aspects of play and friendships were the most important factor, and where they would be able to avoid any anti-lgbt harassment.
Things like this are really special, because WoW.com gets an extraordinary amount of traffic. The Stonewall’s website is even stalling out from all the added visitors from the article. This brings a ton of awareness to safe space gaming, and also gives gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender gamers a head’s up that this kind of guild exists. Super awesome

You can’t trust that they will give you the same treatment while your there I am the founder and I was treated terribly so when I protested I was forceably removed and the guilds wouldn’t have started if it wasn’t for my vision.. Don’t trust Ginjack, Parris or Perfectenemy. Otherwise you will find yourself lost in their world and you will feel like you wasted your time.
