4 things

by Cuppycake on September 12, 2007

I am *such* a sucker for surveys (thanks Grimwell!).  These things are so funny….

Four jobs I have had in my life (not including your current job):

  1. Dog groomer @ Petsmart
  2. Trail guide @ riding stable
  3. Vendor Services Coordinator – Digital River
  4. Nursing Assistant – U of MN Medical Center, 7C Women’s Oncology unit

Four Movies I have watched over and over:

  1. Black Beauty – Saddest movie ever.  Great music.
  2. Legends of the Fall – I’m naming my first born son after Tristan from this movie.
  3. An Officer and a Gentleman – The romantic in me loves this movie.
  4. LotR Trilogy – Come on, who hasn’t?

Four places I have lived:

  1. St. Paul, MN – born and raised!
  2. Crookston, MN – This was my attempt at going away to college for a semester.
  3. Apple Valley, MN – I like to remove these 3 years from my life, if possible.
  4. Escondido, CA (now) – I’m not a fan of Escondido.  When lease is up – I will be moving closer to the ocean for sure.

Four Shows I love to watch:

  1. Heroes – I totally have a thing for Peter Petrelli.
  2. NFL Football – Vikes and Chargers, rawr.
  3. American Idol (hell yeah) – I’m addicted, what can I say?
  4. House – Funniest show on television.

Four Places I have been on vacation:

  1. Orlando, FL – I was too little to remember
  2. New Orleans, LA – I was too drunk to remember
  3. San Diego/LA, CA – Funny.  Once considered a vacation, now considered my home.
  4. Miami, FL – Nicest beaches I’ve been to.

Four of my favorite foods:

  1. Buffalo Wings – seriously, there is no greater food.
  2. Chips/Salsa – seriously, there is only one greater food.
  3. Italian food! (any)
  4. Chinese food….mmmmm, garlic chicken

Four favorite drinks:

  1. Malibu & Diet – My significant other.
  2. Vanilla Iced Chai w/Skim (Starbucks) – My slightly less significant other.  See how I roll?
  3. Diet Coke – although I am getting sick of it…
  4. Hot tea with milk – thanks Grandma for the British influence

Four places I would rather be right now:

  1. The beach! I don’t even care which one…
  2. England – Men with accents….rawr.
  3. African safari – Just to be exotic.
  4. Riding a horse – I miss my horsie =(

And here is the fun part:

Four People I Command to do This:

  1. Brent – He probably won’t do it..
  2. Scott – New blog, he also probably won’t do it.
  3. Lisa – New friend of mine, good writer.  DO IT!
  4. Chris – Coolest coworker ever.  I command thee to do this survey.

Regarding the four places you would rather be right now, your 2nd point is based on a false assumption. England is the place where people don’t have accents; it is here in the US that everyone speaks with an accent.

More of us, less of you. We win though you get credit for starting the language and all…

Crazy – almost everywhere I go, I’m seeing these. I found your’s as a follow-through from Scott’s.

I’ve heard some pretty crazy horror stories from people who used to be groomers or are currently animal groomers at petstores. Do you have any joyful stories from those days to share?

Oh god do I ever.

I’ve had a German Shepherd leap over the divider between the lobby at work and knock me on the ground, lunging for my throat.

I’ve watched as a dog chewed through a muzzle and somehow started to make itself bleed profusely out of it’s nose in front of the window in front of customers.

I’ve had more bodily functions released than I can even talk about.

I’ve had a Rottweiler so mean that I had to put ANOTHER muzzle on it’s nose to get the one off from around its neck.

I don’t even know where I’d begin…..
