Thanks for the heads up! Were we supposed to get a confirmation email after applying? Normally, one would, but I didn’t see one in my inbox.

Like I said on Tobold’s site, this was the first alpha/beta application on which I’ve listed myself as press. I figured companies probably ask that question to know how many people one can influence with reviews after the NDA is lifted. I don’t get a lot of traffic on my site, but it’s enough to separate my reviews from someone just talking to a few friends. Anyway, I hope I didn’t cut myself out of the pool with that.

When y’all ask that question again in beta applications, it would be nice to have a little pop-up window explaining what Areae means by “press”.

Just a comment. As I probably made clear here, I don’t consider bloggers to be press. They certainly can be influential. That’s not the issue though. Being press implies more than just being able to sway public opinion.

Yeah, Morgan, I’ve written before they I don’t consider bloggers “press” in terms of the word’s common usage, either. But I included myself as press in the alpha application because I figured the word was intended differently by Areae in that context. Maybe I’m wrong though.
