Evacuated

by Cuppycake on October 22, 2007

Just so everyone is aware – we have evacuated our house this morning. The sky was unbelievable outside…here is the view from my parking lot this morning:

Absolutely ridiculous. My roommate and I (and my dog) are safe at a friend’s house. I’m crossing my fingers for the office and for the homes of friends. It’s not pretty here. =/

We have a couple fires going here in Riverside county as well, but none that are close to where I live. But the sky was thick with black smoke yesterday, and we had 70 mph winds, causing mini sandstorms throughout our valley. It still feels like I have dirt in my eyes.

Sheesh, Cuppy…take care, and don’t forget your asbestos underwear. (It chafes, but you get used to it).

We’ll all be thinking about you guys.

Up the 15 in Corona our sky is brown/black also. There’s 4-6 fires around us. Feels like all of Southern California is on fire.

I’m glad to hear that you have evacuated and are safe. That really looks bad – I’ve heard a bit about it on the news. Take care of yourself and keep us updated if/when you can.

That is an incredible photo, I hope that you all stay safe and so do your offices and homes, and that it is all over as soon as possible.

It looks like a repeat of 2003 fire. Back then there were over 15 different fire, and i San Diego was pretty much srounded by fire

Stay safe! I sorta know how you feel. When I was a kid in KY a tornado picked up our trailer and shook it around a bit (with us in it!). Nature is not one to be trifled with. Sending good thoughts/vibes your way.

It’s almost a repeat, but it’s worse. It’s the worst fire they have ever seen here.

Stay safe there, enjoy the break from normality while it lasts. Things are just things, but interesting stuff only happens once in a while :)
