NFL and Virtual Worlds

by Cuppycake on October 22, 2007

Even though I’m amidst a natural disaster – I couldn’t help but to blog this one. My two favorite obsessions in the entire world have combined – the NFL and virtual worlds. They’re calling it the NFL Rush Zone, and it they are claiming it to be the NFL RPG game world. Apparently each team will have their own ‘land’.

I wonder if I’ll be able to hack and cheat in the Patriots world? /duck

Couldn’t help but to mention this one. I look forward to trying it out.

Interesting…NFL is a big market but can the normally geeky world of RPG’s mesh with the mainstream? I want to find out and play.

I must have missed it – I seriously hadn’t pegged you as an NFL gal. Awesome to hear about the Rush Zone. I wonder really how they’re going to go about the game beyond the obvious aspects… an RPG is so much more than just the “main theme”. Kind of interesting to ponder. Anyhow – take care in the fire emergency.

Could be cool, but I’ll wait to see what they come up with to get excited.

Once a year, the whole virtual world could take on New Orleans colors for All Saints Day. ;)

You have blogonitis. I can’t read your site every time… I’ll be compelled to blog more often, and that would cause a wripple in the space-time-continuum and things as we know them will no longer exist!!!

*sprays RID against blogonitis*

I’d like to see a virtual world for the Bengals; I’ve about given up hope for them in the real world :(

Dude. Fantasy football is every bit as geeky as MMOs. But because the former is connected to the macho world of sports, it’s accepted.

It’s the same reason it’s socially acceptable to walk around in a Peyton Manning jersey but I get mocked when I wear my Spider-Man unitard in public. It’s complete bullshit.
