I’m a Rock Band addict. You know that you rock a little too hard when you get a splinter in your face from the drumstick. =(
This weekend was a good one. I was sick on Friday but after a lot of rest I was rejuvenated enough on Saturday to go shopping with my BFF Amanda before we went to dinner. Luke picked The Melting Pot as his birthday dinner – so we all enjoyed a fattening four course meal of fondue. It was pretty much heaven and I strongly recommend it for those looking for good food and a social experience. Afterwards we went out and got our dance on and it was pretty hilarious. Those who know me know that although I’m pretty flamboyant, loud, and obnoxious (what CM isn’t?) I’m not much of a dancer. Either way, it was a great evening spent with awesome folks.
Today the boyfriend and I took Bella (my Min Pin) out in the beautiful 75-degree January weather to play with other doggies at the dog park. Luke has a really nice SLR camera so he snapped some great pictures of Bella. It was really nice to get outside in the fresh air and let my little doggie run around and have a fun time.
In gaming news, we picked up another copy of Guitar Hero 3 for the 360 so I’m finishing up the Expert career for the achievement points. I also bought Viva Pinata again because I remember it being a silly, colorful, cute way to get points. I’ve never really been as addicted to console games as I have been with the 360. The gamerscore is really a brilliant revolution – I’d play pretty much any sort of game as long as it makes my shiny number go up higher. To those who have added me as your friend on Xbox Live, I’m sorry that I never respond to your requests to chat. I’m generally playing with my boyfriend or other friends in the same room. I’m not all that sure why I even have a friends list on XBL to be honest….I never play games online. Oh well. =)
On the MMO front there hasn’t been much. It’s been a week or so since we’ve logged in to play our Blood Elves, but I’m sure we’ll be back to them at some point when Carcassonne, Rock Band, GH3, Viva Pinata, and Mass Effect get stale
Heh, so many good games.
Anyway, enjoy some pictures:

The Melting Pot is so yummy! I feel so unbelievably full when I leave that I think they should have a service that wheels us to our cars when we are done! Bella is adorable!
I’m right there with you, Cuppster. I got my 360 just before Xmas as a gift from my wife, and I cannot stop playing it. The day a solid MMO comes out on it, my PC will seriously collect dust. Here’s a list of some of the game’s I’ve had a chance to play.
Mass Effect = awesome
Crackdown = great fun
Saints Row = Stupid but fun
Eternal Sonata = Boring story but fun
Conan = God of War knock-off.
And of course…
Rock Band. Got it this weekend and the night we bought it we played for a solid 6 hours straight. Can’t believe how fun it really is. I rock out on the guitar and vocals, and try my best at drums. That damn kick pedal is HARD TO GE DOWN.
Anyway, have fun gaming, and I’ll let you know when I get Live up and running on my system.
I too have purchased that nasty little Xbox 360 and have found Viva Pinata. That game is so addicting, I think about it all the time.
You can find me on line as Oakstout anytime.
I’ve also picked up a few arcade games, like Carcassonne, Pac-man, championship Ed. and Geometry Wars. I would recommend any of those. The great thing is being able to try before you buy, which is awesome.

OMG my BFF Tami! We’re a horrible texting commercial.
Hey, I have a Mini-Pin too! Her name is Xena, had her for almost 5 years now. Got her in Los Angeles, but she’s definitely missing that weather now.
Hyper. Doesn’t know the meaning of NO. Jumping around ‘poking’ me all the time. Climbs all over the couch (and me) like a cat. Always dragging her leash around in her mouth wanting to go out… but I still love the little joker.
