Well, everyone is talking about Brad McQuaid’s post regarding what he thinks is wrong with Vanguard. I don’t really feel like commenting on that, so I’ll just direct y’all to my reply to him.
Anyway, last night was my first time going into Crushbone in EQ2. I am amazed at how fast experience is attained when you are grouping and killing mobs in a dungeon. I gained two levels and we really didn’t do all that much killing and didn’t complete any quests at all. I thought it was a really fun time and seemed to be a really neat area from the short time I was there. I was there with my friend and guildmate Naewwen, and a couple guys that I met from Gestalt, and then a couple PUGs. We wiped more than a few times, but all in all it was a lot of fun.
I’m mostly impressed with how my laptop ran EQ2. I have a laptop that is a 1.8ghz Core 2 Duo, 1GB RAM, and 256mb x1400 card. It runs EQ2 amazingly well. No slowdown, no lag, 25+ fps, no hitching. The only negative side is the loading time which I’d guess is due to my 5400RPM HD. Regardless, I’m impressed with this little laptop. VG wouldn’t get more than 15fps, but EQ2 runs wonderfully.

Do you have a Dell e1505?
Yep Cam, I have an e1505, bought last summer. =)
Hahaha. I only know that because I have one too, and finding updated drivers for the x1400 was a nightmare until I just sucked it up and started using the Omega set.
