Finally in…

by Cuppycake on August 18, 2008

So I’m now in the Warhammer closed beta.  Woot.  Just started the download, and it will be 4+ days at this rate.

Man, do I hate torrents for client distribution. My max download speed is around 10k/sec.  This is with all ports forwarded and no firewall.  Anyone know of an alternate place to snag the client?  I checked Usenet and it’s not available.

Of course, it’s for the “Open Beta”, but while the torren downloads you can try the FP one and see if it’ll patch up for the Closed Beta.

Once the NDA is dropped, anyone with the beta client will be able to pass it on to friends and family.

This was posted in the beta forums, but you didn’t hear it from me!

Yeah, it took me all week to finish downloading the torrent, it was brutal. But I had a lot of fun this weekend. I have heard they are releasing a new way to download for OB, but I’m not sure if that is just FilePlanet or what. =\

Torrent definitely made those first couple days bittersweet.

Bah. I got a Guild Beta invite, bought the CE… and you’re the one who got into closed beta. So unfair… ;-)
