I only played for a little while tonight, but enough time to do Halls of Lightning (regular) and bang out a few dailies for Wyrmrest. I am now Revered with them, and the proud new owner of a Gavel of the Brewing Storm, Ancestral Sinew Wristguards, and an Arcanum of Blissful Mending. This puts me at 1400 spell power now, which I think is pretty decent for not having any enchants and being a relatively fresh level 80 druid
Next up I’m going to go for Kirin Tor faction.

In another Warcraft related news, I just finished reading the War of the Ancients trilogy by Richard Knaak. While I do enjoy his writing and I love the setting, these stories left a little to be desired. I’m not normally too big on real battle-heavy fantasy books, I find that my mind starts wandering a bit. I did enjoy reading the full detailed story of the Sundering though, and I love the whole dynamics between Illidan and Malfurion. For anyone interested in picking up WoW lore, this is a decent place to start. Notable characters include many, like Rhonin, Krasus/Korialstrasz, Alexstrasza, Stormrage twins, Sargeras, Azshara.
The books basically cover:
- The entire War of the Ancients (which happened prior to the First War)
- Malfurion’s education from Cenarius, and how he learned the ways of the druid.
- The love triangle between Illidan, Malfurion, and Tyrande
- Neltharion/Deathwing’s corruption and the Demon Soul
- Illidan’s betrayal
- Azshara and the Highborne and how corrupt it all began
- The invasion of the Burning Legion, and the attempt to bring Sargeras into the world.
- Jarod Shadowsong’s ascent to leading the army
- The Great Sundering of Kalimdor that caused implosion of Zin’Azshari and the Moonwell
- The growth of Nordrassil (The World Tree) at Hyjal
- Imprisonment of Illidan
Basically, it’s a great book to give you lots of details you always wanted to know about your favorite Warcraft characters.
