Generally, my gaming time is spent vegging out in front of the computer or sitting on my ass on the couch while I play some RPG or adventure game. But now, we’ve bought a console with the full intent of losing weight and being healthy.
I’d read Pete at Dragonchasers and his adventures with the EA Active so I had to try it. We bought a Wii and EA Active and an extra resistance band and leg strap, so that both of us could participate. This is my favorite part of the game, how we can work out together for motivation. We’re doing a 30 day challenge, and yesterday was the first day. I must say, on “easy” difficulty, this kicked our ass. We were both drenched in sweat and out of breath and felt great afterward. We picked it over the Wii Fit because we didn’t care much about the stretching and Yoga type exercises, we wanted cardio. EA Active doesn’t require you to use the balance board either. Today, I’m still sore from it all. I walked three miles today and did crunches instead of doing EA Active (it was prop 8 day of decision rally day) but tomorrow I’m back on it.
EA Active + bike riding + more walks + eating healthier Weight Watchers style = a fit and sexay Cuppy. Woo. (Oh, and I joined Gamefly and I’m renting Twilight Princess so I can play it again…lol)
