Since the day I started working at Metaplace I’ve had this theoretical idea of making a world called “Ponyplace”. My ideas for it have run the gamut; from a game that lets you have your own pony to love and groom, to a board game style pony RTS. The one I keep coming back to is a role-playing game, and with the release of our new module packs in Metaplace that allow you to jump start a game idea – I’m going to go with RPG/adventure game.
I’ll update here a bit on the progress of Ponyplace, and what I’m doing with it. Right now, here is Ponyplace in its current state:
When you enter, you assume the avatar of a chestnut pony. You can walk up, down, left and right, and your avatar does a walk animation. There is a barn that you can go inside, but there isn’t really much in it.

There is a stream down to the south with a sign in front of it:

If you click it, you’ll see this sign:

And that’s it. There’s really not much at all to the world, except a farmer hoeing away outside the barn and chattering randomly about how the world is called “Nostalgia”. I’m not really sure where to go from here, but I do want to do more with it….
Hmm. Any ideas?
