Random Battle: Not Coming Up – Scam!

by Cuppycake on August 3, 2009

This morning I glanced at my Google Reader and noticed a pleasant surprise.  10 new posts from one of my old school friends and favorite bloggers – Cameron Sorden at Random Battle.  I quickly sent him an IM asking him if he was making a triumphant return.  He replies saying that he had taken the domain and all the posts down and was NOT coming back to it.

So here’s the deal – what is currently up on Random Battle is NOT Cameron.  It’s an SEO Web Hosting company that bought the domain and then scavenged through old RSS feeds and links to reproduce the content and rebuild the site.  You’ll notice the theme is different, posts are missing and out of order and the About page has been changed.  Cameron has contacted the new owners and they said they’ll be removing it.  What a lame attempt at getting clicks – I’m not even putting the URL here to drive more traffic there.

I told Cam I would post this for him so just in case anything lame gets posted up there – you all will know that it’s not him. :)

Highly irritating. I don't appreciate people impersonating me. Thanks, Cuppy. If I do come back someday, it won't be at Random Battle.
